Round 5 - Stonehaven & District Motor Club’s Hairst Rally, 29^th October, 2011

Navigator wanted

Harry Merry is looking for a navigator for the SDMC Hairst Rally in any class. If anyone is interested, please get in touch with him (quickly) on 01555 770652 or e-mail harry.merry@btinternet.com.

Round 6 - Border Ecosse Car Club’s Early Winter Rally, 12^th November, 2011

Border Ecosse Car Club will be running the sixth round of the championship, the Early Winter Rally, on Saturday, 12^th November, 2011.

The event will start from starting in Coldstream and finish in Leitholm with a route of approx. 80 miles. OS map 74 C1 is required and the entry fee is £25 for the National B event which includes two suppers at the finish venue. Entries close on 9^th November.

REPLACEMENT CHAMPIONSHIP ADMINISTRATOR

I’ve had a volunteer to take over the Administration of the Championship – Early Winter organiser Ewan Leeming will be taking over at the end of the year. Thanks Ewan!

NAVIGATIONAL RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

September 2011

Round 4 - Highland Car Club’s Autumn Rally, 17^th September, 2011

Highland Car Club will be running the fourth round of the championship, the Autumn Rally, on Saturday, 17^th September, 2011.

The event will start from the Clansman Hotel on the banks of Loch Ness with a total mileage of 98 miles on public and private roads. OS map 26 is required and the entry fee is £25 for the National B event. Entries close at 17:00 on Monday, 12^th September.

Gery Potter will be organising the SDMC Hairst Rally on Saturday , 29^th October, 2011. Start at Methlick.

Round 6 - Border Ecosse Car Club’s Early Winter Rally, 12^th November, 2011 (Date Change)

Richard Crozier has been busy discussing the date clash with his “temporary flatmate” Ewan Leeming and BECC have now moved the Early Winter Rally to Saturday 12^th November, thus avoiding the clash. Many thanks to those involved.

Due to an ever more demanding employer, I seem to have less and less time to fulfil my leisure time commitments, so I have come to the decision that this will be my last year as Championship Administrator. March 2010 Newsletter

Buglass Rally - 20th February  ***POSTPONED***

Due to circumstances beyond the organisers control, the Buglass Rally was postponed. It may run later in the year and if this is the case then details will be issued in due course.

Gropers Rally - 6th March

Although the official closing date has passed for the next round in the championship, entries are still being accepted. If you are planning to compete, get your entry in ASAP, preferably by Thursday evening at the latest.

Nuit Blanche - 27th March

The Gropers Rally is follows three week later by the next round in the championship, The Nuit Blanche Rally, organised by Edinburgh University Motor Sport Club. The event will start near North Berwick and uses map 66.

Inter-Association Rally – 20^th November

Northern Ireland will be hosting the 2010 Inter-Association Navigational Rally on Saturday 20^th November and SACC would like to send over a team. We will be able to get funding from the association to assist with costs. If you are interested in going, please get in touch with me.

October 2010 Newsletter

The next two rounds of the championship are running on the same evening, one in Aberdeenshire and the other in the Borders.

Hairst Rally – 30^th October

The Hairst Navigational Rally, organised by Stonehaven & District Motor Club Ltd., will start from Oldmeldrum and will be using OS Map 38.The event will be approximately 90 miles long with first car starting at 19:31hrs. The entry fee is £45.00 and includes two hot meals. The basic Lockton Insurance rate for the event (before any Loadings) is £16.28.

Early Winter Rally – 30^th October

The Early Winter Navigational Rally, organised by Border Ecosse Car Club Ltd., will start from Coldstream and will be using OS Map 74. The event will be approximately 90 miles long with first car starting at 19:31hrs. The entry fee is £44.50 and includes two suppers at the finish venue. The basic Lockton Insurance rate for the event (before any Loadings) is £16.28.
